Saturday night boxing results. Dereck Chisora stops Edmund Gerber - Boxing promoter Frank Warren wants Tyson Fury next for Del Boy.
Dereck Chisora appeared to be back to his best in stopping hardened German based Kazakh Edmund Gerber in 5.
An emotional 'Del Boy' Chisora, dealing with the recent death of Dean Powell, looked trim, sharp and landed a number of body shots in the opening round. Gerber seemed one paced but did have some success, especially in the 4th round with a couple of right hands.
However, in the 5th round, Chisora landed with a right hand that stunned his opponent, and his follow up barrage prompted referee Guido Cavalleri to stop the contest.
Promoter Frank Warren suggested in the post fight interview that Tyson Fury would be a suitable opponent for his charge at the end of the year.
Super Middleweight prospect Frank ’Wiseguy’ Buglioni boxed well and looked sharp in stopping Bronislav Kubini in 2. Londoner Buglioni, who looked sub par in his previous outing, dictated the fight and ended it in style with a right hand whilst backing up midway through the 2nd of 10.
Buglioni improves to 10-0 with 7 early whilst Bronislav falls to 16-12.
