Strong PPV Numbers for UFC 157 - Ronda Rousey win over Liz Carmouche

By Johnny Benz, Doghouse Boxing. According to Lance Pugmire of the L.A. Times, It looks like UFC 157 which featured the main event of Ronda Rousey vs. Liz Carmouche has done exceptionally well in terms of the numbers generated in PPV (pay-per-view) sales. The estimate on Wrestling Observer Radio put Rousey vs. Carmouche at over 400,000 pay-per-view buys.
Lance Pugmire of the LA Times, tweeted: "Strong pay per view numbers for UFC due to @RondaRousey. I'm told Saturdays fight was 40% better than the Super Bowl card. #UFC157."
UFC 157 also did very well at the gate. A reported 15,525 fans packed the Honda Center and paid a combined total of $1.4 million at the gate.
