ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — Sept. 5, 2012 — In exciting news for east coast mixed-martial-arts (MMA) fighters and fans, Cage Fury Fighting Champions (CFFC) is proud to announce their expansion into Delaware and their new association with Dover Downs Hotel & Casino.

A regular fixture in Atlantic City, N.J., CFFC has quickly emerged as the prominent source of exciting MMA action on the East Coast since Rob Haydak, Jr. took over the company in 2010.  Haydak, who will be honored later this year for being selected as the Promoter of the Year by the New Jersey MMA Hall of Fame, is excited about the new partnership.

"In order for CFFC to solidify its position as the premier organization in the East, we consistently explore and look for associations that are mutually beneficial,” said Haydak, President of CFFC.  “Dover Downs Hotel & Casino is a first-class venue with world-class management and staff."

Fresh off a successful show on Aug. 24, CFFC was given the opportunity to make a quick turn around and produce Dover Downs Hotel & Casino’s first ever professional MMA event.  "Even on such short notice, we will deliver on Oct. 13 and make our presence felt in Delaware,” continued Haydak.  “We're looking to build a permanent home at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino for a very, very long time."

CFFC management consists of the industry leaders in business, television, and marketing along with some of the best minds in matchmaking.  With this combination, CFFC plans to deliver the best show possible with the highest standards in fights, production, and fan satisfaction on Oct. 13, 2012.

“We are very excited to host the first professional MMA event in the history of Dover Downs Hotel & Casino,” said Ed Sutor, President and CEO.  “We could not ask for a better organization to work with than Cage Fury Fighting Champions out of New Jersey, who always put on topnotch events.”

"Ten minutes into my conversation with Ed (Sutor), I knew we shared a very similar vision and understanding of what both parties expect,” said Haydak.  “We will deliver world-class MMA to Dover Downs Hotel & Casino guests."

Tickets for the Oct. 13 event go on sale today at noon for $55 to $125 and may be purchased by calling VIP Services at 800-711-5882 or visiting doverdowns.com.
