Fabrice Tiozzo, France's WBA light-heavyweight champion reportedly has decided to retire from the boxing, claiming he has been frustrated by the lack of high-profile fights he was being offered.

In an interview on Thursday, Tiozzo told French sports daily L'Equipe: "I'm retiring. At my age and with my record, I need real challenges and I realize I will not be offered any."

Tiozzo had hoped to meet Virgil Hill again and avenge his only two losses, and had been dreaming of a fight against the
other big name in French boxing, cruiserweight Jean-Marc Mormeck.

Tiozzo said he decided to quit because he was not sure either of those bouts would take place.
